Blue Room’s African-Themed Booth: Where Culture Met Endurance

Our African-themed booth stood out like a postcard: bright kitenge fabrics catching the coastal breeze, poincianas in coconut husks for character and gorgeous chocolate tarts that smelled like home.
Some runners slowed just long enough for a bite; others came back after the finish line for seconds.

What started as a simple idea (to bring a taste of home to a marathon crowd) became a moment of connection. Laughter, snapshots, and that unmistakable Mombasa warmth turned our booth into a mini celebration. Some runners caught a quick breakfast at Blue Room Likoni Mall after their race.
